The company is a family run business founded by James Breckenridge in 1973 and has been run by the McDonald family for the past 20 years.

As a result this has allowed Breckenridge to become one of the most established and successful suppliers of fresh produce in Scotland.

We understand to ensure our high standards are maintained we ensure that every member of the team at Breckenridge works incredibly hard from the boss to the store worker!

We also look to deliver our fruit and vegetables with a smile on our face and ensure that the local family aspect to the business is maintained throughout the organisation at every level.

More about us

To do this we operate out of our fully refrigerated depot located in Oban along with our head office. We have staff based in Oban and The Highlands delivering across the West of Scotland. Our main customers are hoteliers, restaurants and retailers. At Breckenridge we aim to cater to the customer no matter how big or small the order may be!

All our goods are class 1 and are delivered in fully refrigerated vehicles to maintain excellent standards even on the rare hot sunny days we experience in Scotland!

We receive a delivery of goods from our suppliers daily which ensures that we can provide our customers with the highest possible level of quality combined with value for money.

These goods are then delivered to the customer as soon as possible to ensure maximum quality. Our objective is to achieve a stock turnover period of 24 hours which is vital to deliver the high standard of service we aim for at Breckenridge.
